Maserati's MC20 supercar elevates the Italian brand to the likes of its rivals such as Ferrari and Lamborghini in the sports car category.
Maserati claims a better power-to-weight ratio than many of its Italian rivals such as Ferrari F8 Tributo and Lamborghini Huracan.
A convertible version and a battery-electric version will be launched later in 2022.
MC stands for Maserati Corse — "corsa" is Italian for racing — and the 20 refers to 2020.
MC20 can race from 0 to 62 mph in less than 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of more than 203 mph.
"The MC20's composure and compliance are fine, but certain allowances must be made on rough and rippled byways. The triple-link double-wishbone suspension was designed for minimum camber changes in combination with a certain toe-in flexibility under braking and during turn-in. Throw in a mix of tricky radii, sudden brake action and potholes, however, and vertical irritations are prone to battle horizontal excitations. The effect is distinct eruptions which can be felt through the steering, the seat and the floorpan. Like in a 911 GT3 or a 488 Pista, there is no need to take immediate action, but it helps to bear in mind that extreme amplitudes can deflect the flow and curb the underlying suppleness."

Using the monocoque tub as the base, Maserati designers spent more than 2,000 hours in Dallara's wind tunnel sculpting the final aerodynamic design.
The carbon fiber found on the exterior carries over to the interior. The center column, paddle shifters, and driver-focused steering wheel all wear the lightweight weave. The rest of the cabin – the seats, dash, and door panels in particular – sport a mix of Alcantara and stitched leather with blue accents rendering a flawless upscale interior design.

The MC20 comes standard with a 10.3-inch touchscreen display that runs the new Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA), as well as a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system offers more personalization and features than other Maserati systems, including Maserati Connect, which alerts the owner of service dates and security features, all accessible via a smartphone.
